Description
Seriatopora caliendrum is a species of colonial stony coral in the family Pocilloporidae. In the screaming green species it forms a spherical bush like structure of tightly packed thin branches much like a birds nest. The screaming green comes from this corals ultra intense bright green color. It is native to East Africa, the Red Sea and the western Indo-Pacific oceans. It grows in shallow water on reef slopes, particularly back-reef slopes, at depths down to about 82 feet. It is one of the easier sps corals to grow and a good starter coral for those interested in testing the waters of the sps world. We like to use this coral in some of our larger custom reef aquarium builds to fill in an area. Keep it planted in lower par range with good flow to slow its growth rate.
